The Smithville I.S.D. Board of Trustees met in special session on Monday, February 11, 2002 beginning at 6:00 P.M. Items discussed or acted on by members included the following:
1. Consideration and action on Bids and Contracts for construction of the new high school – The school district and construction manager Sam Best have followed all legal requirements for bidding on contracts for construction of our new high school. Part of the service provided to the school district by our construction manager is the evaluation and recommendation on bids. After scoring the bids, the construction manager presented the results of the evaluation and his recommendations on each of the different contracts involved in the project to the Board. Peggy Walicek motioned to award contracts for construction as noted on the bid tab sheet. Mike Morgan seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.
