MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE SMITHVILLE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT HELD ON MONDAY, AUGUST 4, 2003, AT 6:00 P.M. AT THE NEW HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS, 285 HWY. 95, SMITHVILLE, TEXAS.

Walk through to 1. Now that the new high school facility is nearing
determine substantial completion, it is necessary for the Board to determine

school special meeting on July 1, 2003. Dale Murphree and Steve
Rogers, of Best Construction, and George Austria, of Pfluger Associates, were present for the tour in order to answer any questions or concerns by the Board. A punch list was provided, and the Board participated in a comprehensive tour of the facility. Mike Morgan entered a motion to accept substantial completion of Areas A and B of the new high school facility. Peggy Walicek seconded, and the motion passed 5-0.
Resignations of 2a. There were no resignations to report to the Board.
Employment of 2b. Superintendent Gary Sage recommended the employment
Certified Personnel of Dinah Breeden as librarian at Brown Primary. Mike
Wittrock motioned to employ Dinah Breeden for the 2003-
2004 school year. With a second by Mike Morgan, the motion carried 5-0.
Adjournment 3. The Board adjourned its meeting at 7:08 p.m.
