Notice to Applicants for Educational Aide Positions

Educational Aides who have worked as an school educational aide for at least one school year during the five years preceding their application for fee exemption, may receive exemptions from the payment of tuition and fees (other than class or laboratory fees) to State colleges and universities for coursework that leads to teacher certification.

Smithville Independent School District encourages the employment of educational aides that are interested in pursuing teacher certification under this program.
