Superintendent’s Report

Attended Austin Chamber of Commerce’s State of Education - recognizing Doug Berryann as an Education Champion for the work he does with Smithville ISD CTE program and other volunteer work across the district.


Brown Primary School

  • EAFK Honesty Knighting Ceremony

Smithville Elementary

  • 3rd Grade FT to Buescher SP
  • Lions donated dictionaries to all 4th graders and their teachers

Smithville Junior High

  • Mrs. Molak ‘David’s Law’ lead an assembly at SJHS
  • NJHS Food Drive and Plastic Bag Drive for Food Pantry (toured the food pantry)
  • JH Special Olympians participated in an intramural bowling competition at Lost Pines 8 Lanes

Smithville High School

  • Congratulations to the Volleyball Team on making the playoffs
  • Smithville FFA competed at their District Leadership Contest in Elgin for 2018. 6 of the 8 Teams received top honors and came home with a banner.
