High School Graduation Procedures
May 29th, 2020
All procedures are based on the guidance provided by the Governor and Education Commissioner of Texas. We ask that all guests adhere to the procedures provided in order for SISD to be in compliance. Non-compliance with the listed procedures may void your attendance for the graduation ceremony. It is not necessary to attend the in-person ceremony to receive your diploma. Diplomas will be mailed to graduates.
**The graduation ceremony will not be rescheduled. If the in-person event is cancelled due to bad weather or other public health concerns the “virtual graduation” will be utilized.
Leaving the Ceremony
Smithville ISD is proud of the SHS Class of 2020, and we want to recognize their achievement. Facebook profile picture frames were created in their honor.
The frames can be both accessed in Spanish and English and say "Smithville High School #TigerPride", “Proud of my SHS Graduate”, and “Proud of our SHS Graduates!” . There are three frames: one for the graduate, one for family and friends, and one for SISD staff and community. We encourage our graduates, parents, families, staff, and community to use these frames to celebrate the SHS Class of 2020.
To access the frames, go to your Profile on the Facebook app and tap "Edit" on your profile picture. Then tap 'Add Frame". The frames are named:
