A parent meeting for Aim for Success will be presented on February 3rd, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at the Red Brick Building at 901 NE 6th Street. Parents, staff, and community members are welcome to attend. Aim for Success will be presented to grades 6-12 on February 4-5, 2020.
Aim for Success, Inc., will present their nationally-acclaimed program to the students and parents of Smithville ISD. Aim for Success is a nonprofit, youth health education organization whose mission is “helping young people make healthy choices that will give them the freedom to reach their dreams and goals”. Founded in Dallas, Texas in 1993, over 2.6 million students, parents and educators have been served.
The upcoming Focus on Success program discusses the impact technology, sexting and pornography are having on the physical, emotional and social health of our youth. The program seeks to educate and motivate students to make positive choices with technology - positive choices that will give them the freedom to reach their dreams and goals.
The Parent Program will give a full preview of the program the students will see, and also provide practical information and ideas to help parents reinforce the positive messages at home.
Community guests are welcomed to attend.
