Tiger Academy

Tiger Academy is Smithville ISD’s school of choice for students seeking to graduate from high school in a non-traditional setting. Using the latest internet technology, students participate in classes through Connections Learning, interacting with students all across the United States. If you would like to receive further information, please view the Tiger Academy Handbook and Application on this website.

The Tiger Academy Alternative Education Program is an alternative school for students who are highly motivated, dedicated, and academically capable but happen to meet the criteria for being at-risk.

Students will complete their coursework through Connections Learning, a computer-based program. This creates an environment in which students can work at their own pace, thereby allowing the student to graduate at an appropriate time depending on their individual circumstances.
