Transfers
Students who live outside the Smithville ISD District Zone must submit a transfer application form during the "open enrollment" period. Applications will be reviewed by administration at SISD and parents will be notified via email.
Current transfer students are also required to reapply for transfer into Smithville ISD for the following school year.
The 2026-2027 Student Transfer application window is open from April 6, 2026-May 1, 2026.
Any transfers submitted after May 1, 2026, will be placed on a waiting list and considered for transfer on a case-by-case basis after the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Placement on a waiting list does not guarantee transfer approval.
Transfer applications must be submitted annually. A separate form must be submitted for each student requesting a transfer.
Once the required documentation is provided to Smithville ISD, the parent/guardian will be notified in writing by May 15th whether the application has been approved or denied. Upon approval of transfer, the parent/guardian will also need to complete the enrollment process. Our beginning of year registration event is schedule for July 21, 2026.
