In an effort to increase the safety of all participants and spectators of events being held at Smithville ISD, the District has made the decision to move to a clear bag policy for public events during the 2025-2026 school year. Facilities impacted by this new policy will be Tiger Stadium, the SHS Baseball/Softball Complex, the Smithville High School Gym, and the Smithville Junior High Gym.
Anyone entering these facilities will be required to comply with the new guidelines:
Bags allowed include:
Clear bags that do not exceed 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches.
Clear one-gallon resealable plastic storage bag.
Bags must be clear plastic with a maximum of one logo imprint not exceeding 4.5 tall x 3.4 inches wide.
Small bags that are no larger than the size of a hand. Please see pictures on the flyer.
Exceptions will be made for:
Equipment bags for credentialed media. Must have an approved SISD press pass.
Bags and cases for medically necessary items.
