Please be advised that several Smithville ISD phone numbers have been ‘spoofed’, resulting in individuals receiving calls or messages that appear to be from Smithville ISD. Call spoofing is when a caller deliberately falsifies transmitted caller ID information to disguise their identity, making a phone call or text look like it comes from a trusted source.
If you receive a call or text that appears to be from Smithville ISD, please do not provide any payment or personal information. If the call is unexpected or if you are unsure, contact a staff member directly before taking any action.
Please note that this issue does NOT affect any staff or student data, and all SISD records and data are secure.
As a result of these issues, we are temporarily adjusting the routing of calls within Smithville ISD. When calling SISD, you may be routed through our automated main phone system to reach a specific campus or department. Alternatively, if you are needing to reach a teacher or staff member, you can always message them through our SISD App, or send an email.
