The Smithville Junior High Band continues their tradition of success!
The band competed in the UIL Concert and Sightreading competition at the Bastrop Performing Arts Center yesterday, March 5th and earned top scores from all the judges!
This UIL evaluation requires our students perform on stage for three judges who grade their performance of the music they have been practicing for a few weeks. The group then must read a piece they have never seen before in front of another three judges.
All Six judges gave the Smithville Junior High Band 1’s - the highest scores you can receive!
We’re very proud of our excellent music students!!
