Did you know that teen overdose deaths nearly TRIPLED from 2019-2021??
Join us, during Red Ribbon Week, to discuss drug and fentanyl awareness and learn what you can do to help keep your student safe!

We want to inform you of an upcoming traffic change near Brown Primary.
At the October 14th Smithville City Council meeting, ordinances establishing SW 4th Street as one-way were repealed. Effective November 1st, SW 4th Street (from Walker St. to Highway 95) will become a two-way street.
What this means for Brown Primary families:
👉 Pick-up and drop-off procedures remain the same
👉 Drivers may now come from both directions on SW 4th Street
👉 Please use extra caution when walking to or from school
Thank you for your attention to this important safety update. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

The theme this year is also a reminder: safety doesn’t begin or end with the bus ride. It’s about Safety at Every Stop—from the moment a child leaves their front door to the time they return home.
🛑 Stay alert. - Slow down in school zones and neighborhoods.
🛑 Stop for the bus. - Obey the stop-arm law every time—no exceptions.
🛑 Support accountability. - Technology and enforcement work hand in tandem to change driver behavior.
🛑 Raise awareness. - Share facts, resources, and personal stories that open eyes and change hearts.
Let's all help keep our buses a safe place for our students!
