Between preparing healthy meals for Texas students, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, school nutrition professionals are true heroes.

Some of our Kindergarten students got a rare treat this month! Mrs. Hurst/Mrs. Ladewig's Kindergarten class participated in "Agriculture in the Classroom" presented by Texas Farm Bureau. They explored different types of seeds, planted sun flowers and even had a goat come visit their class! They also read the book How to Grow a Monster! It was an eventful day!

Starting today, April 8th, we will be locking the gates to Barry Field during the school day (8am-4pm). This is for the safety and security of our students and staff. The gates will remain open on the weekends and non-school days. We appreciate everyone's understanding as we strive to make SISD a safe place for our students, while also serving our community!
