Thanks to the Smithville Noon Lions Club, First National Bank, the Smithville VFW, and Calbri Logistics for collecting, wrapping, and delivering coats to our campuses this week! We are so thankful for our wondering community that supports our students!

REMINDER: Our Winter Break starts this Friday, December 15th. Students return on Thursday, January 4th.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving from SISD!
On Friday, our 2nd Graders read the book "Balloons on Broadway" about the origins of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Afterward, they made their own balloon floats to parade around the building!
Our SES Turkey Lunch was a HUGE success! Thanks to all the families who came out and enjoyed lunch with their students! Big shout-out to our SISD Child Nutrition Department for making this happen every year!
Thanks to all who participated in our Career Fair today at Smithville Elementary! And a special shout-out to Juarez Custom Homes for providing breakfast! We appreciate our community!

This Friday, November 17th, Smithville Elementary will be hosting a Career Day for all students! There will be emergency vehicles onsite, and there will likely be some sirens going off, but HAVE NO FEAR! The students are just learning about some great careers!

Remember that anyone wanting to attend lunch must either be on their student's approved contact list or must be attending with the student's guardian. All visitors must check in with a state-issued photo ID - no exceptions.
