Hadlee Ladewig is a proud graduate of Smithville High School. During her time as a student-athlete, she was actively involved in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She was honored to be recognized as a three-sport Academic All-State athlete and was a two-time recipient of the Heart Award in all three sports. Additionally, she received the LT Leadership Award for two consecutive years.
After graduating, she knew she wanted to return to the program that played such a significant role in shaping her-both as an athlete and as a person. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community and help guide the next generation of student-athletes.
Her goal at SISD is to develop student-athletes who excel not only in their sports but also as individuals prepared to take on the challenges of the real world. She's truly excited for this opportunity and proud to be part of the Tiger family once again. #GRIT

My name is Shawna Randall, and I’m incredibly honored to step into the role of Head Volleyball Coach here in Smithville, my hometown, my roots, and the place that shaped who I am. I’m a proud 2016 graduate of Smithville High School, just like my dad & my three siblings. Being able to return and give back to the community that raised all of us is truly a full-circle moment.
I began my collegiate athletic career at Frank Phillips College, where I competed in both volleyball and basketball. I then continued my education at Texas Tech University, graduating in 2020. My passion for the game led me to start and operate a local club volleyball team here in Smithville, where I coached and mentored young athletes for two years.
Outside of work and sports, I love being outdoors, whether I’m hunting, fishing, or spending time with my golden retriever, Daisy.
To me, coaching is about far more than competition it’s about developing strong, confident, and resilient young men/women both on and off the field/court.

Coach Nelson will be joining us as a Junior High coach. Coach Nelson currently lives in Smithville and teaches at the Junior High. We are glad to have him in Tiger Nation!

Chris Sexton is finishing his 14th year as a coach and teacher, the last 10 years serving as an offensive coordinator. He has also served as a head baseball and head softball coach. Coach Sexton is from Royse City, TX. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, where he met his wife of 14 years Alica. They have a son, Wyatt (12) and a daughter, Anistyn (8). Coach Sexton is eager to bring his passion, drive, and dedication to the Smithville Tigers and looks forward to being part of this incredible community.

With nearly 12 years of coaching experience, Coach Greene has built a reputation for developing competitive and disciplined football programs across Texas.
Coach Greene has had stops at Palacios High School, Flatonia High School and Bay City High School, where he played a key role in a significant program turnaround—helping lead the team to back-to-back deep playoff runs.
In Spring of 2024, Coach Greene took on the role of Defensive Coordinator at Lubbock Monterey, where he contributed to a historic district championship—the program’s first since 2006—and helped secure its first playoff win in over four years. Known for his passion, leadership, and ability to build cohesive defensive units, Coach Greene continues to elevate every program he's part of.
“I’m truly grateful for this opportunity and look forward to joining the Smithville Tiger Family. It’s an honor to be part of a program with so much potential, and I’m excited to help build on its tradition of success.”
