Our Child Nutrition Department is entering the @Think Rice Promotion contest sponsored by USA Rice. Our in-house Chef Lena has whipped up an amazing Breakfast Pizza to showcase the versatility of rice! 🍕✨ This unique pizza features a rice crust, topped with savory salsa, zesty chorizo, sweet pineapple, spicy jalapeños, roasted peppers, and roasted red onions— a breakfast like no other! 🌶️🍍 The winning school will take home a $1,000 worth of kitchen equipment! With Principal Sarah Vinklarek and our amazing Café Staff leading the way, the little ones got a taste of Louisiana with some yummy Cajun cuisine. But the real highlight? King Cake! Between bites, our young learners discovered the traditions of Mardi Gras—colorful parades, vibrant masks, and the meaning behind the purple, gold, and green.
