We were thrilled to host not only our own Child Nutrition department, but also teams from other districts and a representative from Region 13. It was an inspiring day filled with fresh ideas and flavor!
Chef Suzie wowed us with a variety of delicious food samples—each one more creative than the last. From bold new takes on classic favorites to inventive spins on something as simple as a grilled cheese, the day left us energized and full of new ideas to bring back to our menus.

Students at our Elementary, Junior High and High School will have STAAR testing on various subjects in the month of April, starting next week. Help them do their best by making sure they are on campus and prepared on these dates!

Our SHS Art 1 students have done a fantastic job creating bowls for the Smithville Empty Bowl Project.
The event will take place this Saturday, March 29th, at the Smithville Rec Center from 11am-2pm. Buy a bowl and support an amazing cause...ending hunger in our area!
Our High School Computer Science team competed at the UIL competition yesterday and took 2nd place in the team competition. Junior, Matthew Ferrell, also took 6th place in the individual competition.

The Smithville Community Clinic is hosting a number of mental health workshop over the next few months. This is recommended for students in 4th-7th grades and will be held at the Smithville Community Gardens. Please take advantage of these monthly opportunities for your students!
