
The Tiger Band is hosting their annual Silent Auction and Chili Supper during their Solo & Ensemble Concert on February 15th from 5p-7p (come-and-go). Please come enjoy some great music and a meal to support our band!



Pep Rally fun yesterday to celebrate the last home basketball games of the season! We heard from two of our Senior players, and Mrs. Berry "won" the pie in the face by receiving the most student votes!
The Lady Tigers will be advancing to the playoffs! They play Monday, February 12th, at 6:30pm at Rice Consolidated-Altair against Houston Yates. Come out and support our Lady Tigers!

Corbin Kuhn has been in Fort Worth all week with his steer. Although he didn't place (1600 steers total, 43 in his class), he definitely tried and showed his best!

Smithville High School's Computer Science CTE Pathway offers students the chance to graduate with college credit or career-ready certifications in computer science and cybersecurity thanks to Ms. Mary Alice Castello and her partnership with Microsoft’s TEALS Program. She also helps students learn critical soft skills like collaborating and advocating for themselves both in the classroom and through the award-winning Tiger Trons robotics team and the brand new "Girls Who Code" club!

Please join the Austin Community College High School Programs team for an in-depth information session about the importance of TSI and college readiness as it relates to high school students participating in ACC classes. We'll discuss the reasons why students are required to have eligible scores, acceptable standardized test scores, how to register for the TSI test and what happens if a student hasn't taken these tests or have eligible scores. Can a student still take an ACC class? This session is virtual and will be held on Wednesday, 2/7/24 starting at 6:30pm. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Due to continued rainfall, and for the safety of our students and staff traveling home, Smithville ISD is canceling ALL after school activities for Wednesday, January 24th. This includes the ACE Afterschool Program.

For the safety of all students and staff traveling to school, and due to the flash floods in our area, Smithville ISD will delay start time for Wednesday, January 24th by two hours. The bell schedules will be as follows:
BP - 9:55am
SES - 9:45am
JH - 9:55am
SHS - 9:55am

The Boys Basketball games against Manor New Tech have been moved to tomorrow, Wednesday, January 24th. It will be Varsity ONLY starting at 5pm.

Thanks to Fox 7 News for coming out to film an "Educational Feature" on our SHS Computer Science and Robotics programs this morning! We are excited to see this aired on the news later this week!

Corbin Kuhn showed his Maine heifer in Fort Worth this past weekend. He was 8th out of 20!
