The girls and boys home games versus Caldwell have been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 17th, beginning with Girls Varsity at 4:30pm, followed by Boys Varsity. There will be no JV games played.

Due to the forecast for continued freezing weather, and out of an abundance of caution for all students and staff traveling to school, Smithville ISD will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 16th. This includes the cancellation of all UIL sporting and academic events. Information about the rescheduling of these activities will be shared as soon as possible.
We will continue to monitor the weather and will send updates about the plan for Wednesday.
Thank you and stay warm!

Smithville ISD is working with emergency management officials to monitor the incoming winter weather throughout the weekend. We will notify all families of any change to the schedule for Tuesday no later than Monday evening via text, website, social media, and local news outlets. Please be safe this weekend!

The 2024-25 Area Officer Application is now open in the Roster System! The deadline for completing the application is May 1. Please see Mrs. Lowden if you have any questions!

Don't forget that this Monday, January 15th, is a student and staff holiday in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Those students showing swine or ag mech projects at the Smithville livestock show need to be at validation at the SHS Ag Shop on Saturday, January 13th from 2-3pm! It will be a drive through! Also, if your pig is STATE validated, you do NOT have to bring them! Just bring your payment. Mellanie will have a copy of your state validation paper work to go along with the Smithville paper work. Please reach out if you have any questions!

We are incredibly thankful to the Police Officers and Safety Officers who help keep our students and staff safe! Happy Law Enforcement Appreciation Day!
